Our Vision
We strive for 100% success for every bearcat. We aim to get there by creating a welcoming school culture with high expectations and offering instruction at a level that will guide each student to success. Together with families and our community, we aim to meet the needs of all learners in order to get outstanding academic results.

Reopening for the Fall
At Valley View, the health and safety of our students, families and staff members are our top priority as we return to school this fall. BCPS will begin the year with in-person instruction for grades K-5, where we feel risk can be effectively reduced with added health and safety measures. We believe our reopening plan represents the best possible balance between ensuring that your student can continue to learn and minimizing the risk of the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

The Virtual Academy Option
All enrolled students have the option to sign up for an all-virtual school option called the BCPS Virtual Academy. (If your student is new to BCPS, click here to enroll first.)
This option is for families who would prefer that their children participate in school online only for the entire first semester of the 2020-21 school year. If you'd like to opt your student into Virtual Academy for the first semester of the 2020-21 school year, please sign up by Friday, August 14 so that we can make the proper arrangements for the school year!

Newsletter Information
Greetings Valley View Families,
We are so happy to start a new school year with in-person learning five days a week. Please ensure that you do not drop off any students to the building prior to 8:20. This is very important to make sure that classes of students are not mixing together as much as possible. Thank you for your help with making this a safe and effective learning environment.
Please find these documents from our school nurse for medical authorization.
