Kindergarten Success Program (KSP)

Summer 2020 Program Update

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, in-person programming will not be possible for the Kindergarten Success Program this year.

We are thrilled, though, to be offering Kindergarten Success check-ins and activities to all enrolling kindergarten families!

Families who enroll in kindergarten by August 1 will receive a free backpack full of educational games and school supplies as well as optional weekly check-ins and activities with a BCPS kindergarten specialist.

SET YOUR CHILD UP FOR SUCCESS IN KINDERGARTEN WITH BCPS

Enter your preferred contact information into the enrollment form, and then be on the lookout for a call from a BCPS teacher or kindergarten specialist who can help set up a time that works for you to check in. Your specialist will give you ideas and activities to use with your child to build up their kindergarten-level skills and knowledge. Your specialist will call you each week to see how the activities went from the past week and to offer more ideas and recommendations for fun ways to help your child enter kindergarten ready to succeed.

While we are sad that we won't be able to offer KSP in person, we are excited to offer this service to all enrolling families. Be sure to enroll by August 1!

The Kindergarten Success Program (KSP) is a free, five-week, full-day kindergarten preparation summer program at Post-Franklin Elementary, open to all incoming BCPS Kindergarteners. Transportation is included.

It’s important that all children learn the foundational skills that will set them up for success before entering kindergarten. This program is packed with fun learning by certified instructors to enrich and engage your child. Take advantage of this opportunity to help your child start kindergarten ready to thrive!
