Elementary - Held in Fremont International Academy
Students currently in kindergarten - 5th grade will experience:
A fun, safe summer camp environment that includes learning, exploration, and meeting new friends
Hands-on math, science, and craft projects
Activity-based afternoon experiences, field trips, and outdoor play with 21st Century
Fun Fridays with KYD Network for additional field trips to exciting destinations
Middle School - Held in BC STEM Innovation Center
Students currently in 6th - 8th grade will experience:
Career-focused, hands-on learning
Fun STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) learning opportunities
Afternoon activities with 21st Century focused on team-building and fun projects, plus field trips
Fun Fridays with KYD Network for additional field trips to exciting destinations
We're excited to build on our partnership with Grand Valley State University by integrating the GVSU summer learning camps into the Bearcat Blast summer experience. That means all middle school Bearcat Blast participants have access to:
Catscan Camp: Learning about healthcare careers
Aviation Camp: Learning about aviation by building and flying drones
Science Camps: Learning about archaeology, astronomy, and more
High School - Held in Battle Creek Central High School
Students currently in 9th - 12th grade will experience:
Teacher-led credit recovery for those needing to catch up on credits to stay on track for graduation
Week-long enrichment opportunities tied to Career Academy pathways, based on need and demand, such as art camp, mock trials, and more
Paid work experience opportunities for students 16+ through Goodwill Connects (40 openings available)
Fun Fridays with Kyd Net for additional field trips to exciting destinations
