Good news, Bearcat families. The SEED Award application deadline has been extended to Friday, February 13, 2026. The SEED Award provides a $500 scholarship to support your student’s future college or career-related expenses. 

How to submit: 

• Complete the paper application
• Turn it in to your student’s Family Advocate at school

We encourage families to apply as soon as possible so nothing is missed before the final deadline. If you have questions, please contact your student’s Family Advocate.

If you have ever had a question, needed a hand, or just wanted help finding the right person at BCPS, you may have met Mariama Wurie. She brings a steady, caring presence to her work with families and has a way of helping people feel welcomed, supported, and connected. At the heart of it, she believes students do best when school and home work together.
