Fremont International Academy

Fremont International Academy is a new, academically rigorous magnet school for students in grades pre-K through 2nd grade.  Fremont was recently approved as an International Baccalaureate® (IB) Primary Years Candidate school, and is the first school of its kind in our area.

This new magnet school focuses on experiential and inquiry-based learning, teaching students the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they will need to succeed in today’s world. At Fremont International Academy, students learn about other countries and cultures, enriching their learning experience with global ideas that help them build curiosity and expand their horizons. Starting in pre-Kindergarten, every student at Fremont also receives daily Spanish instruction.  The school will add one grade per year up to grade five and by the 2022‒23 school year, all grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade will be offered.

The window to apply for the 2020-21 school year will open up in spring 2020. If you have questions about enrollment, please email Principal Brandon Phenix at bphenix@battlecreekpublicschools.org.
