Welcome to the Hall of Fame Page!
Our organization began in 2004 and we hold a celebration banquet in April where we honor the accomplishments of either staff or grads of Battle Creek Central, or Springfield High School. We're known as the "plaque group: as there are 172 of them on the wall in the main hallway of Battle Creek Central HS. Since 2007, our organization has been awarding scholarships to BCCHS graduating seniors; and in those 10 years, we have awarded more than $30,000. The Board is looking to add new members to our non-profit organization. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:15 p.m. at BCCHS. Please come check us out and should you have any questions, please contact one of us. You will find our contact information on the left of this page.
The mission of the Battle Creek Central High School (BCCHS) Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor through academics, arts, athletics, and/or extracurricular activities graduates, current or retired employees of BCCHS or the former Springfield High School for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community and nation. We are looking for individuals who have distinguished themselves with a high degree of performance in academics, arts, athletics or extracurricular activities, as well as success in their field of endeavor, and/or service to their community and/or country. These individuals must have displayed a consistently high level of honor, personal character and dedication throughout their lives, and have distinguished themselves by their performance.

BCCHS HALL OF FAME ANNOUNCES NEW INDUCTEES FOR 2018-19
The Battle Creek Central High School Hall of Fame Board of Directors is excited to celebrate their BCCHS Hall of Fame 15-yer anniversary. Upon this year’s induction, we will have honored 186 outstanding individuals with history rooted in Battle Creek Central H. S. or Springfield H. S., through accomplishments in the arts, academics, and/or athletics, and significant community contributions.
In 2007, there was enough money with the Battle Creek Community Foundation to start awarding scholarships to graduating seniors. As of 2018, we have awarded 40 monetary awards and to commemorate our 15th anniversary, will be awarding 15 this year. We’ve changed our scholarship criteria language of “higher education” to include “trade schools, technical schools, and apprenticeship programs.” The dynamics of the world are changing and we want our young people to be ready.
The awards celebration will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at The Commons of Battle Creek Central High School with social time at 5 pm and dinner at 6 pm. For ticket information, please contact Fred Jones at 269-968-8601 or Karolynn Ferguson at 269-968-4019.
THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR & TICKET DEADLINE IS APRIL 1, 2019.
Listed below are the mini-bios of our 2018-19 inductees who were selected by secret ballot vote of our 11-member Board.
