We are seeking an Adult Education teacher to teach adult students necessary skills to pass the high school equivalency test. Teachers will provide individual, small group, and whole group instruction.

Details

  • Location: Miller Stone Building
  • Salary Range: $30 per hour, 20 hours a week (will work flexible hours between 2-7 pm up to 4 days a week dependent on student needs.)

What We’re Looking for

  • 3+ years teaching experience and experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) is preferred
  • Works with a variety of Adult student (15-20 at a time) teaching skills necessary for the High School Equivalency test.
  • Provides individual, small group, and whole group instruction with adult students to acquire concepts for the High School Equivalency test.
  • Evaluates student progress based observation, data collection, and current best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
  • Meet Adult Education teaching requirements
