We would like to take a few minutes to inform you of what your child(ren) can look forward to each year of middle school with Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS), and also show you some special offerings he/she can look forward to.


ADVANCED & ACCELERATED PROGRAM
Battle Creek Public Schools is offering a program for
advanced and accelerated learners for the 2008-2009 school
year. A tiered program offering students in grades 3-9 gifted
and talented classes is available to students.

HONORS
Advanced and intensive academic classes for students
who want and need a challenge.

FINE ARTS FOCUS PROGRAMS
W.K. Kellogg offers the greatest selection of fine arts classes
at the middle school level. Students have the opportunity to
participate in the following:
• Art
• Band
• Choir
• Drama
• Orchestra

Carson Scholars
This program was founded in 1994 by world-renowned pediatric
neurosurgeon Ben Carson, M.D. and his wife Candy. This
non-profit organization was created to inspire children in
grades 4-11 to be competitive in Science, Math, and
Technology as well as to balance academic achievement with
the high esteem our society gives to sports and entertainment.
