The Battle Creek Public School District is committed to providing quality special education services to all of our students with IEPs. Our administration and staff take responsibility for coordinating and providing quality instructional services for all of our students, completing state and federally required reports, facilitating program and curricular improvement initiatives, assuring that our district meets all legal obligations under state and federal law, as well as building collaborative relationships with other agencies and departments committed to our students and families. The Battle Creek Public Schools shall comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Act, a federal mandate, and the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education. Evaluation, eligibility, and student assignment are the responsibility of the school district.
