ADVANCED & ACCELERATED PROGRAM
The Advanced/Accelerated/REACH program is dedicated to the discovery and nurturing of talent and exceptional ability in our diverse population. This is accomplished through Total School Cluster Grouping and advanced/accelerated classes at the elementary level; ATYP math and English Language Arts classes through Western Michigan University and REACH math, English, science, and social studies classes at the middle school level; and ATYP,honors, Advanced Placement, Math/Science Center, and dual-enrolled college classes at the high school level.

Carson Scholars
This program was founded in 1994 by world-renowned pediatric
neurosurgeon Ben Carson, M.D. and his wife Candy. This
non-profit organization was created to inspire children in
grades 4-11 to be competitive in Science, Math, and
Technology as well as to balance academic achievement with
the high esteem our society gives to sports and entertainment.
