Battle Creek Public Schools Releases Educational Specifications for Model Schools

Beginning in the spring of 2007 and ending with a public report at the October 2007 Battle Creek Public Schools Board of Education meeting, the district conducted an educational visioning process to gather information and perspectives to produce Educational Specifications for a Model Elementary School and Battle Creek Central High School. Educational Specifications are the description of facility components that will be used to guide the renovation approved by the recently passed $68.9 million millage. The process of producing the Educational Specifications encompassed 944 man hours, 72 one-on-one staff interviews, and 10 site visits to other new and renovated schools (in and out-of-state). The documents are available for check out at Felpausch video rental (Urbandale Plaza) and Willard Library downtown. Copies are also available for viewing at each school office.
