The annual open enrollment for period for employee benefits is May 4, 2015 to May 22, 2015.  

This is an opportunity for you to:

  • Change your current benefit election effective September 1, 2015
  • Add or delete dependents on your medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Add or cancel Optional insurance available through MESSA and/or UNUM such as additional life insurance, etc.
  • Enroll in BASIC Flex for Medical Reimbursement or Dependent Care Coverage

If enrolled in MESSA, you will need to download your Open Enrollment Form from www.messa.org. If you do not have a MESSA account, you will need to create one, the instructions are below.

You must return your signed, completed MESSA Open Enrollment form and/or your Cash-In-Lieu form to the Human Resources Department (Administration Building 3rd Floor) no later than May 22, 2015. Your MESSA Open Enrollment forms must be returned even if you do not wish to change your current benefits.

Natalie Vickery will hold open office hours every day from 2:00pm to 5:30pm during open enrollment period or by special appointment. Should you need assistance in printing the forms, a printer will be available in the Human Resources Office. Should you need assistance in completing your insurance forms, please contact Natalie Vickery (nvickery@battle-creek.k12.mi.us or (269) 965-9472).
